Do all Aqua Forte DM Varios make this noise?
Hi fellow Koi Keepers,
I've just installed an Aqua Forte DM Vario 30,000 and wanted to check that the noise it's making is considered normal? I know there are plenty of DM Vario owners out there.
Bit paranoid as I've had 1 or 2 pumps fail recently.
Video clip is here: https://vimeo.com/240372556
Many thanks for your advice!

I have the 20000 and no noise to speak of, certainly nothing like yours, bit of a whine as I turn it up, nothing that concerns me, I usually run mine around 35 % and totally happy with it.

What filter is before the pump - it’s not a bit of K1 or something that’s got lodged?
I’ve had a few bits from the Profidrum Bio sneak through to the pump making a similar noise (Superfish though; the pump impeller eventually flattens it and it ends up in the pond).

Thanks Rob, no she's 100% clear. I'll check in the morning for other clues.

Its always difficult to tell the real volume from a video but I think its normal - my PondXpert Variflow 30000 (same pump) makes a similar noise when running at/near full power.
6000g in ground koi pond
+3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached
29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

Thanks Pip, I'll leave her to run for a few days and see what happens.

I have the 30,000, its not the quietest pump, especially compared to my superfish which are pretty much silent.
