Shower Pump
Been looking at adding a shower to my pond and saw this on ebay, two questions.
1/ It fits the shelf over my pond and is at the right price for my budget, is it OK?
2/ What flow rate would the pump need to be? I'll probably use 1/1/2 or 2 inch pressure pipe, the outlet from the pond would be about 500mm below the bottom of the shower, so about 1.5m lift.
Thanks Jon

That's the shower i brought a couple of years ago, plasticmen90 on ebay is jbr plastics, who make bio chambers to your requirements, they are currently making me a bio chamber.
I think quite a few people now use their showers and bio chambers and feedback always seems good. They are certainly very competitively priced compared to koi businesses, which is nice,.
Ive got 3 or 4 bags of grog in my shower, plus some ceramic rings, cant fault it tbh for the money, ive got a 15,000 lph pump feeding my shower, it would easily take more imo.

Hi David, thanks for the feedback, I've sen a 20,000 ph Aquaforte pump for a reasonable price, so might go with this combination.
3 tier Shower, 2" pressure pipe, usual gate valves and 20,000 Lph pump.

Just food for thought - Aquaforte DM Vario is very good pump to consider - at great price - as David mentioned he might be able to flow more than his 20.000 L/h pump flows over his shower - so AF DM Vario 30.000 would give you full flexibility - max flow in summer - with your head of 1.5m - will give you about 25.000 L/h max real flow - the beauty being, that you can trim it to trickle at min 30% flow setting - for winter - thus keeing your shower filter bio-media alive - whie minimizing energy costs and heat loss / reducing flow in the pond to give your koi a bit more relaxed winter w/o fighting any strong currents....
I have this pump myself and I am very happy with it.....You get what you pay for - or better - what you make yourself.
