Afternoon all
does any one use phoenix 2000 koi food and if so how good or bad is it
also skreetings ornamental which you can buy direct from them now its about £26 quid for 15 kilo sounds cheap but is it any good all experience's with either would be appreciated

I didn't know this was still available, I think I used it in the late 1990s.
I believe the name came about as it was koi food of the future hence 2000.
At £1.73 a kilo not sure what value the koi will get from it. No doubt the koi will eat it but if I remember the wastage was high so this could load the filters.

Ive seen this stuff for sale in the range. Ive not used it personally but i know a guy who does as begrudges paying any more for koi food. (Its my cousin) If im honest his fish dont look too bad but growth is not some thing he see's alot of if at all.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
