Skimmer advise

Hi I am looking at using an eazy pod as a pre filter from a skimmer that has been converted to a 3" pipe then from pod to a bead filter that I want then to supply a water blade, has anybody out there any advise pump size and best way to do this and can I firstly do this?

hi everyone,Bryan posted a thread[12.5.13] saying he had fine green particles.I had the same and after following some good advice i water changed 10% twice a week and back flushed filters at the same time.Water clear and perams are spot on,hope this works for you Brian and anyone else who has the same problem,cheers for now.Bob

how far up each tier do you fill, thanks to pinnacle i now have my crystal bio and im about to fill my shower but not sure whether to ram as much as i can in each tier or ......

It's my 5 chamber filter tank gravity fed by single bottom drain 4 inch pipework.

Am I the only one left with such a primitive system???

cleaning K1 with PP

I`m having an Eazypod complete fitted,hopefully on bank holiday monday.Iv`e got the K1 in a dustbin at the moment ready to clean it prior to loading it for the first time.What i want to ask is do i need air in the dustbin to agitate the K1 whilst being cleaned with the PP or would the occasional stir be sufficient?.

Medikoi w/g 3kg anyone??

Well guys,
Due to an order that was an absolute joke start to finish, actually still ongoing,I've got one 3kg bag of medikoi wheat germ 6mm going cheap.
Not looked what they're going for yet but was thinking same as another post- �25 delivered, or �20 collected from Shepton mallet, Somerset.
have listed in the food section as well, probably open to offers??

Blanket Weed - good or bad ?

I treated my pond for blanket weed about 3 weeks ago using the cloverleaf powder . Its done a really good job and its virtually all gone .

I`m just wondering though , should I adopt a `zero tolerance` attitude to the BW and re-treat if it starts to come back , or is a little bit of it considered a good thing . I seem to remember the fish liked to mooch around it (presumably looking for bugs ect.) when it was there . Maybe without it the pond looks a bit sterile . What do you think ?
