I know of a few people that have tried various ways of modding the pod, this does look interesting, how are you finding it? what size brush have you used?

hi brek they`re black knight 16'' x 4'' ive got 6 in there & i find they filter out blanket weed & larger 'waste' trouble is my filters are pump fed & waste gets chewed up a bit so the extra filtration helps. ebay £26 - 12. just 1 thing if you try them stand back a bit when you pull them out they spray out a bit

Its been a while since you put the brushes in the eazy pod, what has been the difference between having them in and not? Would you recommend others in doing this or not?

I'm going to rig up my eazy pod that I bought last week and wondered if it was worth putting in brushes but I don't want to if there is not much benefit .

What are you hopeing to achieve by putting brushes in the outer chamber ?

The brushes are only going to add mechanical filtration , which is what the easy does.

IMO the easy part of the of Nexus range are easy to clean every few days so why put brushes in as these will need cleaning which is a pain and will inpede the flow of water around the outer chamber so leading to tracking through the easy .

Your right Daran one of the main reasons for buying the eazy pod was for the ease of cleaning adding brushes will just make cleaning that much harder and longer. I rigged my pod up today without the brushes.

Agree with Darren , the brushes as they block are going to cause tracking issues imho .

Hi guys 1st sorry Jedi i forgot about this post i was just scrolling down to the for sale part & noticed it the reason for the brushes was to try & keep the k1 abit cleaner as iam on a water meter & running 2 pods untill the penny dropped iam wasting water rinsin the brushes ...so the brushes are out & the fish get a water change twice a week.
