    Shed interior

    Morning!

I have a new shed coming tomorrow to replace my filter pit. I'm looking for some idea on how to finish the interior walls.

Cladding? Ply? Insulation? or just leave it as is and fix the electrics to the wall braces?

    Thanks

    James

id use kingspan or the rolls of loft stuff for insulation and then ply board over it,keep it nice and cosy in winter.if it has windows I would put some Perspex on the inside, sort of cheap double glazing,

    Good luck with your shed.

Given that we all build "for the long term," if it comes with a felt roof, either already attached, or a just a roll supplied, take a good look at it.
I have no way of knowing, but it could be of inferior quality. It lasts for a few years, but before you know it, you've a leak and the roof panel has rotted in places. You can't buy decent roofing felt in the "sheds."

My tea-house and shed are clad in a non-tear polymer felt. (the tea-house took three rolls). I was only able to obtain it from a roofing supplies company, it's around forty-odd quid a roll, but a great investment.

    Hi James,
I covered the whole of the inside of my shed in bubble wrap covered in foil from b& q.

    Cheers eddy

Good point DHR as many sheds come with 'low quality' roofing felt. I have just built a roof over my pond and did this with 18mm ply, roofing felt underlay and then roofing 'shingles'.

Again, not the cheapest method, but not something you want to be changing every couple of years or so.
    1630 Gallon raised pond
    4" 'Avenue' bottom drain
    Estro sieve
    Econobead EB60 bead filter
Sequence 18000 pump, 6000 pump on skimmer line
    Elecro 2kW in-line heater
    Evolution Aqua 70 air pump
    Standard wall skimmer
    Hozelock Vorton 55watt UV
    and some nice koi

I covered the interior walls with pvc cladding which I bought from B & Q:

    B&Q PVCU Cladding Retro White (L)2400 x (W)100 x (T)10mm Pack of 5, 0000003645734

If you have a trade card its around £9 a pack. The reason I used it was before I had a plywood covering which last winter suffered with mildew. With the pvc it is a simpler job to wipe clean. My pump room was already well insulated by the previous house owner.

Regarding felt supplied with sheds I ordered a shed for storage at my work about 6 months ago. The felt already needs to be replaced so I would take DHR advice on board.
